consign couture
I am not always a secondhand fan.
Growing up as a 90s teen, thrifting was very on-trend. It was something to brag about if you found your flannel in your boyfriend’s uncle’s closet. My cousin could walk into Goodwill and out with some great items that always looked fresh. My experience was not as charming. I couldn’t get into it, so I wasn’t good at it. Recently, I found Cosign Couture, a small boutique that curates and organizes clothes so that you can be sure that the quality and current appeal of the garment are turn-key for even a thrifting novice like me.
It’s so comforting that re-use and re-purpose are not only alive but sometimes preferred. You can find your own vibe in a collection of someone else’s pre-loved vibe.
Consigning is not only trendy and an incredible storytelling opportunity but also a fantastic way to recycle.
You can often find things with tags still attached. Talk about a fun way to hunt down fashion.
